Global/Universal Problem Identification

This is an intriguing area of development where there is much potential for creativity and innovation.

There is increasing evidence that individuals in themselves or collaboratively can have at least as much impact as governments on some of the key problems of our time. Some of the most exciting developments centre on efforts to look for local solutions to local problems. Many of these local problems aggregate up to major problems - so if the have been addressed locally, in aggregate they have been addressed.

This does not mean that there is not a role for governments and other bodies. However some of the recent failures by governments and politicians cause us all to focus on what we want our governments to do and what we do not want them to do.

Meanwhile, if we understand individually that we cannot live beyond our means, then it is not difficult to understand that countries and indeed the planet cannot live in a manner that is not sustainable and resilient to all that might happen,
